"If heaven wasn't so far away..."

Back-to-back Justin Moore shows. That's something that has been on my Wish List for quite a while now, and I finally got to do it last weekend in Columbus, OH, and Covington, KY!

If you have been reading my other blog posts, or if you know me personally, you know that Justin Moore is one of my favorite people on this whole planet. There aren't very many other people I would rather see in concert than him, as I think that he puts on one of the best shows I have ever seen. I was stoked to get to see him two nights in a row, especially after not getting to see him since December!

What made the trip even more exciting was that I was getting to do it with a new friend of mine from Illinois, Morgan. I met Morgan through Jason Aldean, and after realizing that she was a Justin Moore fan too, we planned this trip together. We hadn't met in person prior to these shows, but we connected instantly and we had such a great time together!

The first night of shows was at a bar in Columbus, OH, called Screamin Willies. I have been here a few times before to see Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan. It's a neat little bar, but it always gets pretty rowdy; however, I had never seen it as crazy as it was on this particular night. I'm pretty sure the place was oversold, as it was practically impossible to even move in there. There were people falling over and puking because they were so drunk. It was mass chaos! It put a bit of damper on the evening, but we still had a great time. We had meet and greets with Justin at around 9:45, and he was as sweet as ever. I have said this numerous times before, but I still think that Justin is one of the most appreciative artists out there today. He always puts his fans first, and I love that so much about him.

Though we left a little bit early because of the crazy crowd, Justin still put on an absolutely incredible show! It was my first time seeing his new show/new setlist, and I think it's absolutely perfect. Morgan and I were singing every word to every song, even the ones that will be on his new album, and were having a great time regardless of the inconsiderate people around us. Nothing annoys me more than when the crowd is loud and obnoxious while the artist is trying to perform a personal song. When Justin began singing his newest single, "If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away", which is a song with so much meaning behind it, the crowd would not stop talking. It was to the point where we could barely even hear Justin singing. I felt bad for him, but he still blew the song out of the ballpark. It's Justin fastest rising single to date, debuting in the top 40, and I have a really good feeling that it's going to go number one! Justin also played every song off of his first album, and songs that will be on the second album such as, "My Kinda Woman", "Redneck Side", "Outlaws Like Me" (my personal favorite song, ever!), and a catchy new song called "Beer Time". It made me even more anxious for the new album! As much as I LOVE the first CD, I think the new CD is going to be ten times more amazing than the first one! I can't wait to have a copy of it in my hands!

The next day we headed down south to Covington, KY, to see the show again! We were right in front of the stage this time and the crowd wasn't nearly as disrespectful, so we really enjoyed this show a lot more than Friday night's show! The show was generally the same as the night before except he didn't sing one of his new songs by the name of "In the Bed of my Chevy", which just so happens to be one of our all-time favorite songs. Sadness! Other than that, the show was out of this world! It's hard to find an artist that has as much stage presence as Justin does. He really goes out and puts 150% into his performances every night! He is a real class act, and I can't say enough good things about him!

If you haven't been lucky enough to catch a Justin Moore show yet, I strongly encourage you to stop whatever it is you are doing and look up his tour dates right now. He's currently on the road as the opening act for Miranda Lambert, and will be hitting the road with Rascal Flatts this summer. His new CD is also slated for a summer release. Make sure you keep your ears peeled for the final release date, and keep requesting "If Heaven Wasn't so Far Away" at your local radio stations!
